Chapter Background

We are a FMCA Chapter committed to "Having fun while giving back through community service projects".

CHAPTER FORMATION

The GOLDEN STATE TRACKERS Chapter was formed on September 15, 2007.  Twenty coaches and families joined to form our new chapter.  The chapter now has 44 member families and continues to grow. We invite you to join us a be a member of this exciting new FMCA Chapter.

CHAPTER NAME

The chapter name, the GOLDEN STATE TRACKERS, was selected by the membership to explain our purpose of providing community service while camping and having fun.
We talked about "giving back" to our communities and the idea of leaving something behind as a result of our activities, "LEAVING TRACKS".  The tracks idea stuck with the group and so we decided to include tracks in our chapter name.  Thus our name and motto, "GOLDEN STATE TRACKERS, LEAVING TRACKS BY GIVING BACK".  We combine the fun of our RV lifestyle with worthwhile projects like, Habitat for Humanity, local community projects such as beach and park cleanup, and other volunteer projects as they develop in our members communities.

DUES

Dues are $25 per year with a one time initiation fee of $10 to cover the cost of name tags for each member.  Dues for a new member  who joins in the last quarter of the year pays for the balance of that year and the next.

Officers

Our 2010 officers are:  Robert Golk - President, Fred Wells - Vice President, Gloria Hendershott - Secretary, Nanette Caldwell - Treasurer, Richard Hendershott - National FMCA Director, and Robert Golk - Alternate National FMCA Director.  Our officers serve for a calendar year and are elected at our annual anniversary meeting and rally.

RALLIES

We have most of our rallies and events on weekends to allow those still working to attend.  Children and grandchildren are welcome to attend our rallies where possible.
